Wi-Fi that reaches
We measure the signal where you actually need it rather than guessing, then fix it with the right thing: moving the router, running a cable, or adding access points that hand devices over cleanly as you walk.
Wi-Fi, networking & NAS
A reliable network is the foundation of modern technology. We install and optimise routers, wireless networks and NAS solutions to improve coverage, performance and reliability throughout your home or workplace, and chase down the broadband faults that turn out not to be your equipment at all.
It usually isn't the internet. It's the corner of the building the signal never reached, or a router doing its best from inside a cupboard.
Wi-Fi that works at the desk nearest the router and nowhere else. A shared drive that disconnects mid-file. Broadband that slows to nothing every afternoon while the provider insists the line tests fine.
We find out which of those it actually is before anyone buys equipment. Half the boosters sold in this country were bought to solve a problem they can't fix.
What we cover
Whether you're working from home, running a business, or simply want better Wi-Fi coverage, we provide practical solutions to keep your devices connected and your data accessible.
In more detail
We measure the signal where you actually need it rather than guessing, then fix it with the right thing: moving the router, running a cable, or adding access points that hand devices over cleanly as you walk.
Shared storage that everyone can reach and nobody can accidentally destroy. Folders and permissions that match how the business works, plus remote access for the people who aren't in the building.
When the line really is the problem, someone has to keep on at the provider with evidence until they fix it. We'd rather that was us than you, and we'll gather the logs that stop the fault being closed as “no fault found”.
Visitors, customers and personal phones belong on their own network, not the one your accounts system sits on. It costs nothing to separate them at setup and it is awkward to retrofit after something goes wrong.
Getting at the office files from home shouldn't mean emailing yourself a copy and hoping it's the newest one. Remote access set up correctly, so there's one version of every file and it's the right one.
New premises, same systems, minimum downtime. Broadband ordered early enough to actually arrive, cabling planned before the desks go in, and everything tested before your first morning there.
How we work
Most things don't need a visit. When they do, we come to you. And when the machine has to come to us, we collect it and bring it back.
You call, we connect to your screen with your permission, and you watch what we do. Software faults, email problems and Microsoft 365 are often resolved in that one session, without anyone travelling.
For networks, Wi-Fi, cabling, servers, NAS and new equipment we come to you anywhere in Hampshire and Surrey, and we don't leave until it works and you know how to use it.
Repairs, drive upgrades and data recovery are handled at the bench. We collect the machine, work on it, and bring it back set up exactly as it was, with your files intact.
Business customers
“Over the past decade, we've changed suppliers in almost every area of our business. We run a very busy ‘always on’ recruitment business. Darren has and continues to be an exceptional partner for us.”
“Responsive, professional and knowledgeable. BT let me down but Darren was there to sort it out in double quick time, highly recommended to anyone needing IT services.”
Common questions
Sometimes, and often not. A booster repeats a weak signal, so if the signal reaching it is poor you get poor coverage over a wider area. Where it's practical, a cable to a second access point is dramatically better, and usually no more expensive.
No, and it's an important difference. A NAS is shared storage sitting in your building, excellent for working from, useless if there's a fire, a theft or ransomware. It needs a copy elsewhere, which is what backup is for.
Yes. We test from inside your network, over time, so we can show whether the problem is the line, the router or something in the building. Evidence is what gets an intermittent fault taken seriously.
Yes. Planned around where people will actually sit, before the furniture arrives if possible. We cover Hampshire and Surrey for on-site work of this kind.
Very much so. Thick walls, extensions, garden offices and houses where the router is wherever the phone socket happened to be. See home computer support for the rest of what we do at home.
Yes. We'll document what's there first: what's plugged into what, which passwords are needed and what's quietly failing. Then we look after it. That documentation is often the most valuable part.
