Business IT Support in Farnborough & Hampshire

IT support without the IT department

Running a growing business is hard enough without fighting your own systems. We work as your outsourced IT team, so you can focus on running things rather than fixing them.

Small problems don't stay small

Most small businesses can't justify a full-time IT hire. That doesn't mean technology problems stop happening.

Technology is essential to running a successful business. We provide proactive IT support, troubleshooting, maintenance and advice to help keep your systems running smoothly and minimise downtime.

Software needs updating, staff need onboarding, security needs monitoring, and none of it waits for a convenient moment. Without someone keeping an eye on things, small issues have a habit of turning into bigger, more expensive ones.

Reality Computer Services has been supporting small businesses across Farnborough and Hampshire since 2003. You get a named engineer who already knows how your systems are put together, rather than a ticket number and a fresh explanation every time.

Two ways to work with us

Ongoing cover, or help when you need it

Whether you're a small business needing occasional assistance or you require ongoing IT support, we can tailor a solution to suit your needs. Neither option locks you into something you don't need.

Monthly support agreement

Best if you rely on your systems daily

We keep an eye on things rather than waiting for the phone to ring. Updates, security, backups and licences are looked after in the background, and you have a known point of contact when something does go wrong.

  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance
  • Microsoft 365 users and licences managed
  • Backups and security kept current
  • New starters set up as they join
  • An engineer who already knows your setup
Ask about an agreement

Ad-hoc support

Best if you just need a problem solved

No agreement, no commitment. Call when something breaks, when you're moving office, or when a project needs a pair of experienced hands. We'll pick it up and see it through.

  • Pay only for the work you need
  • Remote sessions or an on-site visit
  • One-off migrations and installations
  • Office moves and new equipment
  • Move onto an agreement later if it suits

Not sure which you need?

Tell us how many people you have, what you run on, and what keeps going wrong. We'll give you a straight answer, even if that answer is that you don't need us every month.

In more detail

The work behind a business that just works

Microsoft 365 & email

Migrations from old mail systems, mailboxes and shared mailboxes, licences that match your headcount, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive set up so people can actually find things. As a Microsoft partner.

Servers, NAS & storage

Windows Server and Synology NAS installed, maintained and kept tidy. Shared folders with permissions that make sense, remote access set up the way it should be, and storage that doesn't run out at the worst possible moment.

Networks & Wi-Fi

Routers, switches, cabling and access points. Wi-Fi that reaches the back office and the warehouse, broadband faults chased down with the provider so you're not the one sitting on hold.

Cyber security

ESET protection across your machines, email security, ransomware defence and a sensible look at who has access to what. Protection that holds up without making everyday work harder than it needs to be.

Backup & disaster recovery

Cloud backup with Livedrive, plus Microsoft 365 backup, because Microsoft doesn't keep your data forever either. A plan for what happens if a machine, a server or the office itself goes down.

Equipment & new starters

Workstations and laptops specified, supplied, configured and deployed. New starters set up with their accounts, mail and files on day one, and leavers closed down cleanly when they go.

How we work

Three ways we get to the problem

Most things don't need a visit. When they do, we come to you. And when the machine has to come to us, we collect it and bring it back.

Remote support

You call, we connect to your screen with your permission, and you watch what we do. Software faults, email problems and Microsoft 365 are often resolved in that one session, without anyone travelling.

On-site visits

For networks, Wi-Fi, cabling, servers, NAS and new equipment we come to you anywhere in Hampshire and Surrey, and we don't leave until it works and you know how to use it.

Collection & return

Repairs, drive upgrades and data recovery are handled at the bench. We collect the machine, work on it, and bring it back set up exactly as it was, with your files intact.

Common questions

The things businesses ask us first

Do we have to sign up to a monthly agreement?

No. Plenty of our business customers call us only when something needs doing. A monthly agreement suits businesses that rely on their systems every day and would rather problems were prevented than reported, but it isn't a condition of getting help from us.

What areas do you cover?

We're based in Farnborough and cover Hampshire and Surrey for on-site visits. Remote support isn't limited by geography, so if you have staff working elsewhere we can still help them.

Can you take over from our current IT provider?

Yes. We start by going through what you actually have: the machines, the Microsoft 365 tenant, the licences, the backups and who holds the admin access. Once that's documented and transferred in full, we take it on. The point is that nothing depends on your previous provider's goodwill.

Do you support Macs as well as Windows?

Yes. Mixed offices are normal now, and we support Windows PCs, Windows Server and Apple Macs, along with the phones and tablets your people use to get at their mail.

Can you supply the hardware as well?

We can. We'll recommend what suits the job and the budget rather than the biggest number on the page, supply it, configure it, migrate the data across, and check it's working before we leave.

How quickly will someone get back to us?

Call the number and you'll either speak to Darren or get a call back. Remote sessions can usually be started as soon as we've spoken, and on-site visits are booked around what's most urgent. If a written response time matters to your business, say so and we'll agree one with you.

Tell us what's happening

A sentence is enough. “Our email has stopped”, “the server keeps dropping out”, “we need someone to look after our IT”. We'll come back to you with what we think it is and what it'll take to put right.
