Sales of personal computers have risen world wide for the first time in five years according to one set of statistics, but in another it is said that they are falling. The Market Research company IDC said that PC Sales have increased by 0.6% in the first quarter of 2017. But Gartner shows they fell by 2.4% which is the lowest since 2007. The imbalance could be due to the sales of Chromebooks which are ChromeOS based computers, as IDC including these in its study, as where Gartner didnt. The Personal Computer is recognised primarily as Windows OS computers, therefore shouldnt of been included in the studies.
